Marrying the man of my dreams also meant marrying the game of football ... it's a part of our family. I'm a full-time football wife and a mother of two, also known as the quarterback of the family (in my head anyways). For us, football is a lot more than a busy season from August till November; in fact, there's really only two months out of the year where football does not demand a significant amount of time for our favorite coach ... May and July, but even then he still has football on his mind. Needless to say our family has adjusted to life in the football world and that may mean we don't always do things the normal way. Football is is our family's ministry and the game, itself, draws many parallels to our daily life.
The RED ZONE, also known as the area between the 20-yard line and the goal line, reminds me most of the beautiful chaos of daily life. In the RED ZONE the chances of scoring are significantly higher, but that doesn't mean it comes easy. Sometimes it takes that one big play to get the job done, but ultimately you know you need your "team" behind you to get the score. Faith, family, and friends are the best teammates this mom could ask for, and at the end of the day they are the ones who bring home the win!
